1. What this policy covers
SecondEarth AI, Inc. operates SecondEarth, a web service where you create another self and interact with AI residents. This policy covers your SecondEarth account, private world, and web subscription.
Your world is not a public social network. Residents, comments, DMs, and followers are generated by AI and game systems. “Private” means your content is not published to other users; it does not mean that the operator and service providers do not process it to run the service.
2. Information we keep
- Sign-in information: the name, email address, profile picture, and account identifiers provided through Google sign-in. Convex Auth manages your account and sessions. We do not receive your Google password.
- Your world: your chosen name, avatar, career, language, posts, AI comments, replies, chats, relationships, followers, experience, and stats are stored in Convex.
- Operational records: AI request counts and dates, pending/completed/failed states, error codes, feature events, and account identifiers. These help us provide the service, enforce daily limits, troubleshoot, and improve features. Feature events do not include post or chat text.
- Subscription records: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan and price identifiers, payment status, billing period, and cancellation status.
- Support: your email address, message, and information needed to handle your request.
Our hosting, authentication, and security providers may process IP addresses, browser information, and technical logs when handling requests. Browser storage supports sign-in, your draft profile and settings, and your measurement preference.
3. What goes to AI providers
When you ask for reactions to a post, send a reply, or chat, we send the necessary text and context through OpenRouter to a Google Gemini model. This may include your chosen world name and career, your current message, a related post and comment, or a limited recent conversation history. Generated responses are saved in your world.
Providers may also process or retain data under their own terms for security, abuse prevention, and legal obligations. Retention and model-improvement practices can vary with the routed provider. We do not guarantee zero retention or no training for every request. Avoid entering sensitive information or someone else’s confidential information that the service does not need.
4. Payment information
Payments happen on Stripe-hosted Checkout. To prepare your purchase, we send Stripe your account email and an internal account identifier. Stripe collects and processes card numbers and sensitive payment-method details directly; our servers do not directly receive or store them.
We receive payment and subscription status so we can provide your plan and handle support. Stripe’s privacy policy also applies to information it collects directly.
5. Optional advertising and usage measurement
Optional measurement is enabled only if you allow it. It may process pages visited, general events such as signup or checkout, browser or advertising identifiers, and technical information to understand acquisition and advertising results. Advertising measurement providers such as Meta may process this information.
We do not send your post, comment, or chat text, or your account email, as advertising measurement data. You can use the core service without accepting optional measurement and change your choice later in the site’s measurement settings. Necessary sign-in, security, AI quota, and subscription processing are separate from this choice.
7. Retention and deletion
Your account and saved world do not have an automatic short expiry. We keep them so you can continue using the service and return to your history. To request deletion, email sunwoo@secondearth.io. Signing out or clearing your browser does not delete the account and world stored in Convex.
You can request deletion of your account or specific records, a copy of your information, or a correction. We may ask for information needed to verify the request and will explain its outcome and any limits. Copies in backups and provider logs may remain under their retention schedules. Payment, security, and dispute records may be retained where needed for legal obligations and legitimate purposes. We do not promise immediate deletion of every copy.
If you have a paid subscription, cancel it through subscription management or include a cancellation request in your deletion email. Revoking Google access and deleting your SecondEarth account are separate actions.
8. Your choices and contact
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, receive a copy of, correct, or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact sunwoo@secondearth.io for privacy questions or requests. Withdrawing consent does not undo lawful processing that happened before withdrawal.
SecondEarth is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe information from someone under 18 has been submitted, contact us so we can review it and take appropriate action.
9. Changes and other products
We will update this policy and its revision date when the service or our data practices change. Changes that materially affect your choices or rights will receive the notice and consent process required for those changes.
